San Diego, California Populations of focus: East African Boys and Men ages 16- 25 years of age from refugee and immigrant backgrounds and who are dealing with issues of mental health and substance abuse. Kokua Kalihi Valley, (Video) Honolulu, Hawai’i Populations of focus: Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian with a sprinkle of African-American, working class youth. From 8-24 years old, living in Kalihi and the housing projects. All are low-income and mostly from the Compact of Free association (COFA) countries. |

Southern Plains Tribal Health, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Populations of focus: American Indian men and boys with a special focus on students participating in the Hope Squad program in Anadarko Public Schools in Anadarko, Oklahoma, an area with a large American Indian population and hard hit by youth suicides. |
